Lidar

 LIDAR, which stands for Light Detection and Ranging, is a remote sensing method that uses light in the form of a pulsed laser to measure ranges (variable distances) to the Earth. These light pulses—combined with other data recorded by the airborne system— generate precise, three-dimensional information about the shape of the Earth and its surface characteristics.

One of the sets of information about surface characteristics appears to indicate how the earth has been compacted by human traffic through many generations. Compacted earth reflects lighter than non-compacted earth.

For Example:  We hypothesized that, during the copper hauling years, 2,200 and 1,200 BC, thousands of men per year for about seven hundred years walked between Stinking Lake MN to Stakke Lake,MN.  The hypothesis is that they wanted to launch boats from the Jetty at Stakke Lake to take a water route to Minneapolis to pick up copper on the way to the Gulf of Mexico.

Look at the image above. You can see light traces from Stinking Lake (upper left) to the Jetty in Stakke Lake (lower right).  Those lighter traces might be consistent with thousands of men per year walking between Stinking Lake and the Jetty for hundreds of years.

Another Exampe:  From contour maps we determined that the optimum height for the water Level on Stakke Lake would have been about 1,380 feet.  But at that water level the ground to the north east of Stakke Lake would have been flooded.  That is what the LIDAR image indicates!

But if the land to the north east of Stakke Lake were flooded, we knew that those thousands on men had to build dikes to keep Stake Lake from overflowing into Hay Creek.  We thought we saw traces of dikes on the contour maps, but we could not be sure how high they might have been.  The LiDar image appears to show us where the dikes were.

Take a look at the center of the image.  You will see an area of non-compacted earth connected by a narrow strip of land to the non-compacted earth of Stakke Lake at the elevation of 1380 ft.

This section of the LIDAR image may reflect a dike break out sometime after the thousands of men no longer came to monitor the dikes.  The rush of the waters toward the northeast may have washed away the earth that had been compacted by thousands of men passing by for hundreds of years.  The LIDAR image is consistent with a mammoth washout.

So the LIdar image appears to tell us where the dikes were and where the dikes failed.  These events took place before Christ was born! 

MORE COMMENTS

1. Traffic at Flag Stone hill.  Traffic in strategic spots guarding entrance to Stinking Lake.

2.  Heavy Traffic on south side of Stinking Lake.  This is the expected area were the cargo was unladed from boats.

3.  Heavy Traffic on both sides of "straight cut"  and along "shallow Channel.  This traffic is consistent with evidence of compaction in Channel.

4.  Heavy Traffic on hills on both sides of Ramp.  Less traffic on downslide to Duct Lake but trace still shows.

5 Heavy traffic west of Lake Park.  Traffic boundary on south could be on waterway of Park Lake.

6.  Traffic area around pond indicates a shore line different than predicted.

7.  No traffic in this area may be the result an ancient Lake.  The shoreline appears to be different than explicated from modern contour maps.

8  The traffic areas appear to be consistent with Stakke Lake being at 1380 feet.

9  The heavy traffic around this lake indicates that the lake may have been a major living area.

10 The traffic is focused into a narrow corridor to get to Stakke Lake.  Some of the traffic may have used the water.

11.  This heavy traffic zone to the west of the Jetty at Stakke Lake is consistent with expectations that there was a command center on this hill side.

12 This traffic on the east side of Stakke lake appears to follow the 1380 contour, which is consistent.  But the area to the North seems to have been a water area that is different than expected.  [We were expecting a dam between Stake Lake and a lower lake level to the North.]

Lake Winnipeg was created by the collision of earth with the debris of a super nova.  The same Big Event dropped nearly pure copper into the Lake Superior region.

   BRONZE AGE:

Men discovered the copper, which was the most precious metal on earth at the time.  Men removed about 500 tons of pure copper per year for 1,000 years.  To achieve that feat required about 200 20-oar knarr and 3,700 men passing from Cross Lake to Lake Winnipeg each year.

This multitude of men was sufficient to make terrain modifications to enhance the movement of the boats.

   NORSE CHRISTIANS

The Norse were a sea people, which were more adapted to living on water than land.  They retained knowledge of the copper hauling routes or rediscovered the route.  They came as traders.

About 1,000 years ago, the Norse became Christians.  Norse of the sea people’s culture chose to row away from warfare. Warfare was the mentality of Western Europe.  The Norse Christians created the Mississippi culture in America.

PROPOSED EXPEDITION OBJECTIVES

. 

The terrain between Cross Lake, MB, and Lake Winnipeg offers an opportunity to look at evidence of the Big Event, the Bronze Age copper haulers, and the Norse Christians as written in the earth in one remote location.

Impactors of the Big Event created Lake Winnipeg.  Detailed examination of the regional terrain may provide evidence of the impact in the same way impact evidence supports the creation of Lake Michigan.  The expedition will examine the existing maps of the regional terrain looking for evidence of impact and verify the evidence on the ground.

Google Earth appears to indicate man-modifications to the terrain made during the Bronze Age.  The expedition will examine these man-modifications to determine if the earth features are natural or may have been modified by man.  

The Linear Mounds and the Manitoba Burial Mounds may have been created during the Bronze Age.  The people in those mounds may have harvested the food supply for the 3,400 men that passed Norway House each year.  The expedition will try to determine if the mounds were related to the Bronze Age copper haulers.  The Linear Mounds appear to be a buffalo trap and mass killing structure.

[NOTE: the Linear Mounds and the Manitoba mounds are an excellent example of suppression of knowledge by omission.  How could both sets of mounds make it onto the National register of Parks and the knowledge of the mounfd still be suppressed from the schoolkids?

The Norse Christian era is evident in the place names of the region.  The expedition will compile those names. The expedition will look for cultural behavior associated with Norse Christians.  DNA sampling of the regional population should reveal a northern European DNA population, similar to Greenland and the Shawnee in America.

The expedition will identify the terrain changes made by the Big Event, the regional man-modifications made by the copper haulers of the Bronze Age, and the human residual of the Norse Christian era.

PRIMARY GOAL:  The expedition will generate maximum publicity about the Big Event, the Copper Haulers of the Bronze Age and the Norse Christians.  These three paradigms are not included in the school curriculum. The public will become aware that these paradigms are suppressed by the institutionalized omission of evidence not included in the 17^th century, when WASPs created a biased history, which is still taught.

The waters around Cross Lake all appear to be at the same elevation.  But the terrain is not.  There appear to be locations where the earth was modified to enable the waters to have the same evecation.

A change in elevation occurs at the draw where Norway House is located.  Thia location may have seen where the boats were lifted from one water level to the higher level.

 Winnipeg Water Level is maintained in a canyon lake that connects to the Norway House on the upper side of the dam.  The 25.6 elevation between Lake Winnipeg and the Cross Lake water levels was within the capabilities of men using primitive hand tools to move earth.  When compared to the 30 foot deep mines in rock around Lake Superior, this terrain modification would have been warm up practice.

NORWAY HOUSE

Joseph Smith was sent in 1756, from York Factory, to explore the area. He ascended the Nelson River seeking Lake Winnipeg. He reached Little Playgreen Lake on September 21 that year.

In 1816 Lord Selkirk sent out a band of Norwegians, apparently ex-convicts, to build a road fromYork Factory to Lake Winnipeg and a series of supply posts. They built Norway House at Mossy Point (west side of outflow) in 1817 replacing the former Jack River post at that location.

Jack River, the connection between the Winnipeg Level water and the Cross Lake waters has been the key link from the Nelson River to Lake Winnipeg ever since Europeans invaded America.

VIKING VISITORS to NORTH AMERICA

. You may be a participant in a little skull duggery.  The Canadian version of the Viking Visitors to North America [http://www.nfb.ca/film/viking_visitors_to_north_america] used to be #3 on the search engine listings.  Now I cannot find it on the first page!

One way to suppress an item in the search engine listings is to deliberately upload different item many, many times.  So the item to be suppressed, maybe the Canadian Viking Visitors film, is pushed down in the stack until it disappears from the front page of search engine lists.

The Canadian government suppressed Thomas E. Lee, who is the lead spokesman in the Viking Visitors film.  The Canadian government fired Patricia Sutherland, who is the #3 or 4 speaker in the film.
.
Whetstones are accepted throughout Europe as an indicator that Norse had settled in the area.  Patricia sutherland found 30 whetstones in Canadian Museums.  Those whetstones have been removed from her and, now, may be buried deep in the back room of museums.

The WASP Canadian government appears to want to remove knowledge of Norse in America.  If Norse had been in America 1,000 years as Thomas Lee stated, then Norse Catholics had occupied most of Canada when Columbus did not land on this continent.

If Norse Catholics were in Canada, when the Europeans invaded, then their descendants are certainly NOT "Aboriginals."

Someone in Canada appears to be taking deliberate action to keep that knowledge from the people of the world.  The Canadian government may be committing a sin against humanity.  Most citizens of the free world believe that history, archaeology, anthropology and linguistics are social science, free from political suppression.

The Canadian government may be proving that "it ain't necessarily so."

EVIDENCE vs MYTHICAL PARADIGM

Had the information of the Viking Visitors to North America been promptly promoted by the academic Social Scientists, other scholars could have avoided their own long quests to put pieces of the Norse history in America together.  
.
That Norse were in America 1,000 years ago should have become school kid knowledge two decades ago.  The evidence and testimony would now be readily accepted as just that--more evidence of the Norse presence in America.
.
If you have never heard of the evidence before, the issue is not that it did not exist (It did) or that it is some type of clever fake now. (It is not.)  
.
The evidence is what exists after six centuries of unwritten history.    During one of those centuries, the 17th, Englishmen were actively attempting to cover up the existence of Norse Christians in North America.  Most of the known evidence will still exist three decade from now.  Just as the evidence in the Viking Visitors has survived three decades.
.
The real issue is that the academic educators do not have a systematic method to incorporate newly discovered artifacts into school classrooms.  So the North American educators are teaching a mythical paradigm for Early American History.  The mythical paradigm was created by English men, who omitted an accurate account of past events from history.
.
The migration route of the Norse Christians, the Lenape, was slightly different than the Viking Visitors film shows.  But Lee and his fellow researchers made the correct deductions about the two outstanding areas of artifacts that showed the evidence Norse in America.  
.
Six hundred years ago those areas had been connected for four centuries by men rowing boats.   The Vatican knew the Norse Christians were there. The final migration of Norse Christians from Greenland happened at the start of the Little Ice Age about 1,346.  They left churches behind.

Lee's last article in Beaver Magazine, 1983, (reprinted in Ancient American Magazine, 2012) does not mention the existence of the Viking Visitors film.  Apparently Lee was not told it was completed.  Lee wrote that he was deeply disappointed.  

The researchers and the film producer had done an outstanding task of presenting Lee's research.  But academic Social Science professors continue to believe the mythical paradigm they teach.

Apparently, three decades later, National Film Board of Canada digitized its films into DVDs.  The technicians may not have known the film was not actively distributed three decades earlier. 
.
TheVikTube web site in Norway uploaded Viking Visitors as two videos, which appears to be a standard practice to put educational information online using the "fair value" process to avoid paying for copyright.  
.
Now, if you have viewed the two parts of the Viking Visitors, you may have just observed the reason why the film was not promoted by educators. 
.
The reason for the lack of promotion may have been because the film is compelling evidence that the current Social Science version of North American history is a mythical paradigm.
.
The physical evidence of Lee's research results were/are not compatible with the Eurocentric Paradigm, which was, and still is,  the paradigm in the minds of most .Social Scientists.  
.

Why and how the film was not made available to the educators throughout the North American continent is not known.  What is known is that more than the film was ignored.  Two of the most well known authors, who wrote about ancient  North America published comprehensive survey books and did not mention Lee's Ungava research.          [Ida Jane Gallagher, Contact,   and   Fred C, Rydholm,  Michigan  Copper.]

The Smithsonian in the book. Vikings : The North Atlantic Saga by William F. Fitzhugh, Elisabeth Ward and William W. Fitzhugh (Apr 17, 2000) assured its readers that the stone walls on Ungava peninsula were native fishing shelters.

The same book devoted a chapter to debunking most artifacts that may indicate a Norse presence in America.  The predominate judgment of most Ancient America scholars is that those debunked artifacts should be considered valid evidence.

Now, thirty-four years of students have graduated from American schools without knowing the Viking Visitors research results.  At least 136 million graduates have become the defenders of the Eurocentric Paradigm.  The Viking Visitors to North America, which should be seen most student in the world, has been viewed slightly more than 9,000 times.

This episode is only one of a string of episodes, which illustrate that the Eurocentric Paradigm is more powerful than the best deduction  of a majority of the best scholars attempting to define the actual account of past events based on evidence.

The mythical paradigm appears to be more powerful than evidence of an accurate account of past events.  So, dear viewer, if you have read this far, you have been seduced into an unpleasant choice.

If you do nothing, the Eurocentric Paradigm is the clear winner.

If you take every opportunity to advocate the VIKING VISTORS film, then the agreement of 27 scholars thirty four years ago may someday be be learned by the next year's crop of 4 million kids.

You must choose, "The winner is ..."

THE VIKING SWORD.

People with the Eurocentric Paradigm, profoundly disturbed the provence of the Viking Sword.  Today diligent researchers avoid using the Viking Sword as evidence of Norse in America because of the uncertainty.  Apparently no researcher has considered the historical connection to the Norwegian King Harald the Hardrada, who went to the western sea with the largest fleet in the world.  He was out to sea for at least two years.

Yet a recent NOVA program showing the modern creation of a 11th century Viking sword demonstrates all the important features of the Viking sword in Ulen MN.  The Ulen MN sword should be considered valid until knowledgable metallurgists examines the sword with modern instruments. 
.
The Viking Sword is outstanding example of faulty logic of people, who have the Eurocentric Paradigm. They cannot believe the simple meaning of a metal object of great antiquity found beneath the hard pan of Minnesota because they have been taught the Mythical Pristine Wilderness Paradigm, which is that no European came to America before Columbus.

The real problem with the validity of the Viking Sword is the Mythical Primitive Wilderness Paradigm.  If the Viking Sword, or any other ancient European artifact in America, is accepted as fact then the Mythical Primitive Wilderness Paradigm MUST be a myth.  If the Primitive Wilderness Paradigm is a Myth, then all of the North American pre-history and most of the Early American History is a myth.

Social Scientists do not have a systematic procedure for altering a mythical history that has been taught for centuries and is printed in millions of books.  
.
Everyone. who has been taught the Mythical Pristine Wilderness Paradigm (and that means nearly everyone), has already been given a judgment about the Viking Sword. It CANNOT be valid because it does not fit the Mythical Pristine Wilderness PARADIGM.

At the Conference of Ancient America, the participants remind each other that a better paradigm is "Many People came to Ancient America from many places at many times."  The Viking Sword fits into that paradigm, along with most of the other artifacts found in America.

The Norse were in America long before the Eurocentric Paradigm, arrived. That Paradigm has profoundly distorted history to cover up the existence of Norse Christians.  About three million descendants of Norse Christians are still being ignored in America today.
